We enjoyed a fun Western theme with preparing for our Getty-Up Junction Vacation Bible School July 15th-19th Monday through Thursday, 6:30-8:45pm. Friday, July 19th at Friday will be at 6 PM for the cookout prior to VBS that evening.

We enjoyed a fine day remembering with gratefulness those who gave their all for our freedom. The church provided hamburgers, hot dogs, and buns. Thanks to all who brought salads and yummy desserts to share. Many stayed on for fellowship afterwards as our teens played games on the grounds.

Choir members and their families were royally treated to a sumptuous banquet prepared by our own Wayne Lee. Desserts provided by Marilyn Harding. Games and frivolity by our choir director, Don Harding. Florals by Judy Warren.

Our kids are so excited about participating in AWANA ("Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed") based on 2 Timothy 2:15. It is an international Bible based program with lots of scripture character building memorization, games, and loads of fun. We meet ever Sunday night at Harvester Baptist Church during the school year. At the end of the year we have a GRAND Prix computation for car design, a race, and also a cake baking contest. Always fun to eat those cakes after the judges finish.

So many folks in our church work to make this a successful luncheon. We are grateful to our men and teen boys who set-up. Our young ladies who decorate, and of course all the awesome good cooks who share their special cuisine. Such a sweet time of fellowship in the Lord. And don't forget the wonderful clean-up crew. Following the luncheon one of our teen boys, Timothy Sumner preached in the afternoon service.

Please join us for our Christmas musical this Friday night, Dec 14th at 7:30 or Sunday morning at 10:30 at Harvester Baptist Church, 9609 Old Annapolis RD, Ellicott City, MD.

Our Trunk or Treat director, Miss Joanna encouraged us with this; "PRAY the rain will be a shower of blessings instead of washing out all efforts for this event. Ezekiel 34:26 “I will make them and the places all around my hill a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing.” Yes, we had to move everything indoors, but in spite of this we had a great time with many new folks attending. God makes no mistakes!

Thanks to all of our church family for helping with our 5th Sunday Fellowship luncheon. Many hands make lite work. A great time of being able to get to know folks better.
